Its what I go to work for.....

... PAYDAY... woop woop.

Can you tell that I am ever so excited that its my payday today?? haha. Shopping mission to Newcastle on Saturday to abuse the MAC counter in Fenwicks... I say I won't be buying any clothes.... but we all know I'll end up buying anything.

A friend said to me today that when I pick something up I like, I need to ask myself- "Do I really need this??"... whats the point of this when the answer is always going to be "YES, YES, YES".

Anyway I'm off to Manchester later on in the month for a friends birthday who lives down there, and I'm secretly glad I get to do a spot of shopping in Selfridges....

I want a Hermes cuff. Here are my personal favs...

First three pics are all from Hermes.com and the last one is a vintage piece I found on ebay. I have a similar belt to the vintage cuff from Primark- random fact there for you.

Love how these cuffs can add a bit of rock to the simpliest of outfits and how they can be dressed up or down. Prices start from £300.

Better get saving then I suppose xxx

Emmy Fashion

I've had a very productive Bank Holiday Monday today doing sweet fa :)

Last night in America was the Emmy awards- here's my favourite outfits from the night.

Amazing outfits- I think you would agree. Loving January Jones's asymetrical lining of her dress- unsual yet fabulous. Need to have a special mention to the loverly ladies below- in my opinion they looked the best....

How stunning does Kelly O look- that girl never fails to impress me, her style is fabulous. And of course Betty White needs to be mentioned also- I want to adopt her.

Hope you're all having a great day- follow me on Twitter @whoissheblog xxx

I wish I went to Leeds....

August Bank Holiday Weekend, normally means one thing to me... no not rubbish weather, or going out and partying (I'm being good and stopping in).. but Leeds and Reading Festival.

Now I am not the camping type, and the thought of not having a comfy bed, more than a couple of outfits at my disposal etc etc (think I'm just making excuses why I hate camping), however this year I would have made the effort...

why?

One of the greatest bands ever The Libertines reformed and played this festival. Now watching the mighty Carl and Pete play last night was quite touching, as this was one band I never thought would get back together. Here's hoping they'll tour- Carl has hinted at it, and if they do, there will be one overtly happy girl.

If you haven't heard of the Libertines, get some of their music downloaded... stat.

Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday Weekend xxxx

Dress Envy

I heart Olivia Rubin dresses.... I want want want.

Love her statement party dresses and how versatile they can be- you can dress them up or down.

This is the time of year when I normally start looking for THE perfect dress for the Winter period- yes I know I am early- but tis the season to be jolly (and look fabulous). I need to put the effort in haha.

I'm still loving her paint splattered esq dresses- I think I may splurge some cash on one of these dresses. Here's my favourite...

Addicted to Chanel!!!

Hello, my name is Ray and I am a Chanel-aholic *waves hand*.

I'm not afraid to admit that I have an obsession, addiction, need, want, for Chanel. I honestly can't get enough. What I want a get.... within reason lol.

I am blessed to have two Chanel bags in my collection- a black medium caviar flap with shw, and a black xl jumbo caviar flap with ghw (that involved a mission to London- will tell you all about that another time). Many people say I am mad to part with £1500+ on a single handbag, but I have always said since I was 18 that I wanted a Chanel bag, and last year I purchased my Medium flap in Manchester.

Now at the time, I said that would be it... NO MORE CHANEL...

A week after getting it, I wanted another one.. typical or what. So in June I travelled to London with JEM and purchased my Jumbo. Yet again I thought this would be the last bag, after spending most of my mortgage deposit on it - however there was a major price increase on the 1st July (thats my excuse for it).

However.... my need for Chanel is taking over me once again... I now would like a wallet on a chain or WOC to me and you, and as I am off to Manchester next month, it would be rude not to stop into Chanel.

This is what I want....

How pretty!!!

A massive thank you to Jenita143 @ tPF for letting me use her picture of her WOC xxx

Models Own has landed!!!

Hey, mine and JEM's Models Own binge has arrived :)

Will do some reviews when I get the chance- currently painting my nails Raspberry Crush- I may have to create an outfit around this shade when I go out at the weekend.

Back Row- peach sherbert, grey day, pure purple, beth's blue, 3-in-1 clear, lil's pink, peach sherbert (again), Front Row- coral, raspberry crush, misty grey.

Did you buy anything in the Models Own sale?

Tuesday means one thing....

New MAGAZINES!!! Cue me folding over edges of things I like/taking pictures on my Blackberry so I remember things I like when I go shopping.

Sad I know!! Hahaha but I can't help it.

Going to enjoy reading these in bed with a brew and watch Big Bro Final (I hope Josie or Andrew wins).

Happy Tuesday xxx

I love a bargain in Boots

Hey, just thought I would quickly share with you my new favourite face cream. I found it on offer (£3.99 I think) in Boots while on the hunt for some fake eyelashes and trying to keep away from the St Tropez and Models Own stands.

Normally for face creams I stick religiously with Kiehls moisturizer, however sometimes it makes my skin feel quite tight and not very moisturized. As it was on offer I decided to try this Johnson and Johnson's Daily Essentials Hydrating 24hr day cream (although I wear it for night).

WOW, I am actually in love with this cream- my skin is so soft, and since using it I haven't had a single spot breakout. I've been slapping it on (not literally slapping lol) and I don't think my skin can get enough of it.

However Mr Kiehls do not worry, one day I will return to you, however for the moment its J&J all the way for me. However I would be lost without my trusty Medicated Chapstick- think I have about 4 on the go at the moment.

Whats your favourite face cream??

Gorgeous??

What defines beauty?
Its that same old arguement- is it whats on the outside or whats on the inside, or both what counts?

Love magazine's "gorgeous" issue is now out with a whole load of different covers- I'm assuming to depict the different aspects of beauty.

These are my personal favourites... I heart Sienna (almost unrecognisable) and Aggy.

The Barbie cover looks a bit freaky...

French Polish (Models Own and L'Oreal)

JEM is a bit obsessive about her nails and nail polishes. I'm not kidding you- she is obsessed.

She's done a wee review for you all on her french mani- enjoy peeps.

Well, to kick off the first of many reviews, I will start with a much-loved brand, Models' Own - however as I already did a French manicure with it this weekend, I shall review how that went on.

My first ever home-done french manicure was using the L'Oreal French manicure kit which comes with all you need to give yourself a perfect frenchie at home: White tip colour, pastel pink nail coat, and those little daft sticky strips which you're supposed to use to make sure the white lines are all straight and even.

First up: Bin the daft strips. Don't even bother trying with them - they don't fit the shape of my nails properly, the polish comes off with the strip, yadda yadda yadda. Waste of time. I found with a little trial and error, I was able to paint a much better-looking white tip on freehand, helped out in no small part by the brush that came with the L'Oreal white tip polish, which is tapered off to a point (makes getting the white into the corners of your nails a whole heap easier).

The bad point to all this: The L'Oreal white tip polish is a real pain in the backside. After the first two uses, no matter how well you shake it up, or even the tried and tested 'add a few drops of nail polish remover and shake well', it starts to go all sticky and globby, and has the texture of polyfilla. Not so easy to get nice, straight lines on the nail there.

So, I binned that after a few months of getting nowhere, and moved onto my favourite ever brand - Model's Own. There's something about the smooth, thick texture of all MO polishes that I just love, esp because as they're so thick, I've never needed more than two coats of any colour. Snow White is just like this, two coats of this is all you'll need. I then finished off with the leftover L'Oreal top coat in Rose Pastel that came with the initial kit (also available seperately, it's shade 102) which I think is a lovely natural colour and probably one of my favourites

Sadly, the only area that really lets the MO snow white down is the brush. How I've loved my L'Oreal slanted tip brush that came with the old polish. Luckily for me… I kept a hold of it when I binned the rest of the bottle!!

Finished off with a coat of high-gloss topcoat for protection and shine, unfortunately the L'Oreal is prone to chipping without it so I always put a good amount on and also wrap over the tips of the nails.

The Verdict: Models own, all the way - however it helps to have the dexterity of a fine artist if you're going to use the brush that comes in the bottle. More talented people than I will say it's a doddle with the MO brush (they're not terrible brushes in themselves, and I have no complaints when I'm doing a full nail in a colour) however I find the precision lines easier to paint in using a finer brush. Another tried and tested trick is, to put the white on first, and then dip a cotton but in nail polish remover and just 'tidy up' the tips before top-coating.

To Hareem or not to Hareem, that is the question....

Topshop £38

This would make my desk look sooo pretty

Even though my desk at work is completely covered in random pieces of paper, folders, and the occasional piece of work which I will get around to doing sometime or another, I feel like I need a nice little notepad or something to write to-do lists in them.

Well maybe I lie a bit there, I won't write to do lists, I'll just keep them on my desk so my desk looks pretty..

Notepads all from Topshop.

I think I want the Mr T one.

My favourite pieces from the latest collection.

I can't wait to see the high streets versions of these... and they'll do less damage to my bank account.... unless someone wants to buy me them ;) hint hint

How much Models Own, is too much Models Own?

Today has been a strange old day at work- hardly been able to concentrate, far too excited.

Why??

Today was the big day- since the beginning of August Models Own have enlisted all their fans to help them reach 10,000 likes on Facebook, and then as a reward for doing so- a wonderful 50% off all of their products online.

I got into MO from reading Imogen Foxy Locks blog, and then when Boots starting stocking it- well me and JEM would be there all the time buying new polishes. So obviously today was like Christmas for the pair of us.

Managed to put in a big order and with the site crashing a thousand times, we've been able to get another 10 polishes to add to the collection :) Will do a review once I get them, however in the meantime here's my "small" collection.

Shoe Porn

My current want or should that be need...

Why do I have to be 5ft 10" for.......pah.
