There'll be trouble when the kidz come out.. (edited)

As you read this and JEM's post below, I should be recovering from seeing my beloved Take That, so like the good blogger I am, I've pre-scheduled todays posts. Another aspect which you wanted to see on the blog was more hauls, now as you know I buy a lot of clothes and I never post pictures of them, bar from the occasional night out photos. I think the items below are all the clothes etc I've bought this month, I really can't remember as due to Primark and Topshop's dodgy sizing I've returned quite a lot of items.

So what have I been spending my dough on this month...
Topshop.
Sheer Polka Dot Shirt via Ebay (you can see an ootd with it here)
Lemon Flower Print Twist vest (warning this is small fitting across the old boobage, so I got mine 2 sizes bigger).

New Look Skinny Leg Jeans-  I hate New Look sizing for Jeans, I couldn't get my normal size over my knees. Not happy about this, but I needed some light coloured jeans to wear for Take That and Primark didn't have any light jeans in.
Primark Long Gold Necklace- only £3.50 and it looks very similiar to the one I bought for £12 from Topshop last year. Mr T eat your heart out.

Primark Satchel- bargain at £9. I needed an across the body bag ready for Take That and this fit the bill. I know there is a lighter version of this bag (I'm sure Hayley has it), however I prefer the Tan. You can get loads in it.
Primark Maxi Dress- had to get this 2 sizes smaller as it looked like a tent on, however I love the colour and for £9 you can't be robbed. I can't believe how long Primark maxi dresses are, considering I'm 5'10" and this trails on the floor for me. Think this may get an airing out this week.

and finally..
Sexy Shoes from New Look.
They're peep toe, have a massive platform and heel, are suede and for a bargainious £19.99 it is love!!

So those are some of my buys this month, come tomorrow this won't be the case, bring on the spending ban.

*note*
Had to edit the post to include a sneaky peek of yesterday's concert (I'll do a proper post soon). Right at the front- hell yeah!!
JASON, GARY AND HOWARD TOUCHED ME!!!
I could have died!!

Still no BabyJEM over a week overdue now.

Looks can be decieving...

You wanted to see more hauls- so what you want, you get.

Recently I've been quite good on the old make up front and only bought two mascaras (17 wild curls went really clumpy). However since coming back from my holiday and being a bridesmaid for Holly in the Summer I thought it would be best to get matched for their liquid foundation and I had some empties for a back to mac. Then there was the free haute and naughty mascara with any purchase from the website. I am terrible I know.

What did I end up getting-
Haute and Naughty Mascara (free with eyeshadow)
MSFN Mediun Deep (£18 approx)
Lovelorn lipstick- lustre (free back to mac)
All That Glitters eyeshadow (£11.50 approx)
Two samples of studio fix foundation NW25 (free)
(note- the Mac site is currently down and I can't get the exact prices)

So realistically I didn't spend that much lol.

Previously I had been matched as a NW20 in their foundation/concealer however after fake tanning this colour was far too light for my skin. Luckily the day I got matched, my tan had faded to the colour I normally am after tanning. The woman on the counter was lovely and after explaining that my tan was natural and I wanted to try it after fake tanning the lady gave me two samples of NW25 Studio Fix Foundation.

I am in love with this product- not too heavy on the skin, and produces a flawless finish. Also in photographs when the flash goes off this doesn't  wash me out. I'm hoping I have the same finish once I try this after I've faked tanned. One good thing about the samples is that a little goes a long way- I've used this 3 times for a full face coverage and there is still loads left in the pot. I also bought a MSFN in Medium Deep to compliment the foundation- you know how much I love my MSFN so I won't bore you again.

Loving Lovelorn lippy- mac colours such as Viva Glam Gaga and St Germain don't suit me at all, far too bright and makes my lips look tiny. Hence always sticking to nudes/light pinks. I was initally going to get Costa Chic with my empties, however the day before I'd seen this on someone's blog (sorry I can't remember who it was) and after swatching the two, this was the most wearable for me. I wore this on the night out in my last OOTD post (with the floral dress)- definately starting to become more braver with the lipstick choices.

Haute and Naughty Mascara- I've only had chance to use this once, and at the moment I'm not too convinced on it. However I'm not that keen on Mac mascaras in general, but as this was free who I am to complain. I do like the fact that when you use the pink part of the brush- it takes that much mascara off the brush, its easier to apply it (without clumping) on your lower lash line. I'm going to try this properly when I'm out later on in the week.

Swatches.

So glad I finally bought All that Glitters eyeshadow- being wearing it with Woodwinked and a tiny bit of Satin Taupe and Typographic on a night out, and then by itself during the day. Initally I bought this to depot and put in my palette however I've decided to keep it in the pot for touch ups on nights out.

I'm off to the Metro Centre on Wednesday with Holly to see if we can find some bridesmaid shoes. So no doubt I'll be stopping off at the mac counter- I'm after a darker colour to compliment all that glitters and woodwinked for a smokey eye on a night out, some sort of dark brown?? Any suggestions ladies?? xx

Say NO....

...to the spending ban.

I wasn't going to blog today but as I have a post to put on from JEM (yes she still is alive- don't worry), I thought I would share with you my new Topshop buys. Now I was going to photograph them for you but I am far too lazy to move from my bed where it is lovely and warm, so you will have to make do with pretty pictures from the Topshop website. Plus considering the amount of clothes I buy (or used to- you'll see why later) I don't understand why I never blog about it... this is going to change.

Now throughout December I had a "no spending money on clothes until Boxing Day ban", which I kinda did stick too... well thats a lie, I was after a Micky Mouse sweatshirt from Primark which I couldn't find, so ended up buying another sweatshirt and then bought the Micky one when I found it in Newcastle... however... I did return the other sweater and changed it for a sheer shirt (it was after boxing day so its allowed). Quite good for me cause I would normally have kept the sweater and buy the shirt.

So on New Years Eve and considering my 200 quid budget a month from 1st January for clothes, going out etc, one last Topshop splurge before it kicked in is ok isn't it?? Plus I did return some sale items too... shock horror which I decided I didn't really need (extra 40 quid for me). I think I'm at that stage now where I need to take account of what clothes I have and what items I need to add to my wardrobe. Plus as its my Birthday night out on the 22nd (oh how I wish I was 22- yes I am still having issues about my age) I wanted something new to wear. You have to have something new to wear on your birthday night out... its the law.

So my new purchases...

Zipped back tee- ₤15 (sale).
The tag says its supposed to be red, however it looks more Orange. Love this top, would actually pay full price for it as its one of those dressy, but not too dressy tops (if that makes sense).

Ally boots ₤40 (sale).
I have been eyeing these babies up since they first came out however I wasn't sure on spending so much money on a pair of boots which is going to make me 10" taller than everyone around me. However for some reason my feet are funny sizes in Topshop- size 8 boots are too small, yet size 9 slip ons are far too big. However considering in the shop this was the last pair and in a size 9 I think it was a sign to buy them. Now I just need to master walking in shoes with such a big platform (I'm not used to them) before next week.

Finally, PU Leather shorts ₤38.
One of my New Years Resoultions is to try and stop wearing dresses every time I go on a night out. I need to wear other items of clothes haha. So for my birthday night out I am wearing these bad boys aka my lederhosen as I've been calling them with my lovely new shoe boots. Quite looking forward to wearing them, but really apprehensive at the same time. Even though I wear short dresses I have no problems in my legs being on show, however I am worried about being called thunder thighs in these shorts. The diet is back in full swing for next week as I'm now paranoid I wont fit in them haha.

Keep those shorts in mind... I need your advice/input later on in the week...

Roll on 9..

I'm such a Gleek!!! xx

Popped my ELF Cherry

After reading so many positive reviews by fellow bloggers and mentions in magazines. I decided to purchase some ELF products before my jolly jaunt to Manchester. Was very very impressed with the "standard" delivery- it came the next day.

What did I buy I hear you cry...
Smudge Eye Sponge Brush, All Over Colour Sticks in Pink Lemonade and Golden Peach, Liquid Eyeliner in Coffee and Plum and Eyelid Primer in Sheer.

First up the All Over Colour Sticks.
Now I have to admit I am in love with the Pink Lemonade (bottom)- it looks nice on both the lips and cheeks, Golden Peach (top) no no no I am not keen. I look like an oompa loompa when its on my lips, and it has no effect what so ever on my cheeks with and without fake tan on. However for £1.50 I can't complain, although I must admit I don't like cheek products smelling like orangeade- I was getting a bit paranoid last week that the people sitting next to me could smell it. That may just be me though.
I normally use Benefit Boi-ing on my eyelids as a primer, but I thought I would try this out. At the end of the day for £1.50 I'm not throwing money away, and it was £1.50 well spent. Really liked how it dried quickly and added a little bit of sheen to my eyeshadow although my shadow did keep all days- for a night out I would probably stick to using Boi-ing.
I nearly poked my eye out with this brush and when I tried to smudge my eyemake up it kinda hurt. I'll be sticking with my 212 and 219 brushes instead. However I will give it another shot and let you know.

JEM has been on the look out for a liquid eyeliner with a fine brush, and decided to purchase two from ELF in the vain hope she had found her ideal eyeliner. She wasn't disappointed.
(yes these two pictures were taken in my car haha)
The top and bottom lines are the plum- they look practically black and there is a very faint hint of purple. The middle line and the squiggle is the coffee. I think JEM was more taken with the coffee than the plum, however this may change when she gets to play with them properly.

All in all I would buy more ELF products, its just a shame that you can't buy them in the shops, however for the price and the super speedy delivery I can't complain.

I'm off to watch the X Factor, being good and stopping in. Happy Saturday you sexy beauts xxx

Mini Mac Haul

I am married to MAC.

As some of you may know I was asking the other week on Twitter what MAC blushers you recommend So last Saturday (yes its over a week later-sorry) I had a trip to Newcastle and had a looksie at the MAC counter. As I'm off to Manchester next weekend (far too excited) I was being very good and only bought the three items (and no clothes- check me out).

This is what I bought...

First up is my make up bag staple- I wear this everyday, and sometimes go a bit ott with this on a night out (you can never have too much bronzer on- thats my moto haha). I can't find a bronzer which lives up to this.

MAC bronzer in Refined Golden.

I have been looking for a peach blusher for ages, and heard a lot of positive reviews about their mineralize blushes. Unfortuately MAC don't normally do peachy mineralize blushes however in their Leopard Luxe Fabulously Feline collection- they have released one- Utterly Game :)

Its priced at £17 which isn't bad, and you do get more than a normal blush. It looks a bit coral in the picture above, but thats how it has come out on my Blackberry. Wore it for the first time yesterday and its a really lovely colour.

Finally my other purchase- is Impassioned lipstick

Now my make up staple is always very dark smokey eyes, with a nude/pink lips, so for me wearing a colour like this and having neutral eyes (still lots of eyeliner though) its going to be very strange for me. From reading other blogs, lots of people have raved about this, and it doesn't look too bright on them, so hopefully that will apply to me too.

Hey, mine and JEM's Models Own binge has arrived :)
