Pinch Punch, First of the Month

Yes your eyes are not decieving you, but for once I am on the ball with my July favourites!!! I can't get over how fast this year is going over- its Holly's wedding 3 weeks on Saturday!! Not much to mention from the weekend haha, I'll do an outfit post for you tomorrow probably. Oh don't ever get on the wrong side of JEM, it all kicked off on my facebook yesterday haha. Pure comedy genius. Also who ate all the pies- muhahahahaha. Anyhoo what have I loved (and loathed) in July.

Innova Volume and Restructure Spray- I recieved this last week in the post, and used it on my hair before going out on Saturday night. Unfortuately due to it being so hot and sweaty when I was out on Saturday my hair has dropped in the photos. However combing my hair yesterday morning- my hair was MASSIVE. Big hair without the need for heat/back combing. Full review to come on this.
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Hand Cream- getting a bit sick of using Soap and Glory Heel Genius on my hands, so I've switched back to using this. Like the original 8 hour cream it works wonders on dry hands, and cuticals. It may be expensive but if you search around you can normally get it much cheaper.
Prada eau de parfum- my new work perfume, very strong smelling, more of a wintery/going out fragrance. But as the scent lasts all day I prefer to use it for work.
Seche vite quick drying top coat- I know this product has caused a bit of controversy on the blogging front. Some of yous love it, other hate it. For me I am loving it- it keeps my nails looking decent for a night out. However come the next day it does have a tendancy to chip- I've had this on since saturday and my nails haven't chipped (yet). I got mine for £5 off ebay, basically a similiar amount to what you would pay for a normal base/top coat. I wouldn't pay full price for this.

Mac eyeshadow- Satin Taupe- Old faithful eyeshadow. This colour looks fab in a smokey eye with print.
Falsifeye mascara- my new work mascara. Makes me look half decent and awake on a morning. Not keen on it for a night out, but for during the day its fab.
Mac 219 pencil brush- if you don't have this brush in your make up collection. Buy it now. I'm 99% sure I mentioned on here how I lost my original one in the loos in Buddha one Christmas, and this is the one make up brush I can't live without. Well worth the money.
Accessorize Mineralize Blush in "Scandal"- I finally managed to use alll of my Collection 2000 blush, and I bought this as my new work blush. For £5 I think this is excellent value, as its bigger than a Mac Mineralize blush for a 1/3 of the price. I'd heard rumours that the Accessorize make up line was going to be discontinued? Hopefully this is just a rumour though.
Swatched for you-
Scandal on the left (heavily swatched)
Satin Taupe on the right

Product I'm not feeling this month-

Posie Tint.
This will not work at all on my skin, pink only shows where I put the brush, when I work it into my skin, it has zero effect. Think this will just be getting used as a lip tint :( (good job its just a sample).

Its pay day its pay day

And its Friday...

Could today get any better!!

So I initally did this payday wishlist last Sunday and since then, the last week has been a bit of a shopping frenzy. I'm still on the hunt for something to wear tomorrow night- thinking an after work dash tonight to Topshop (even though the one in Durham is rubbish).

Considering last month I haven't been on the spending ban, I've actually saved way more money than I did when on the shopping ban. See I told you shopping bans were a waste of time. However as its Holly's wedding 4 weeks tomorrow, I am trying to curb the spending this month. So the things I want, I've had to really think about as to whether I need it. I'm still ebaying my life away trying to make some space in my wardrobes, sounds daft but some of my clothes have sentimental value and I don't want to sell them. But needs must.

So what have I got my eye on this month...

Aztec Skirt £165, All Saints BOUGHT
White Cashmire Vest £22, Topshop Boutique
Yellow Envelope Laptop Case £20, Asos RETURNED
Antelope Animal Print Wedges £80, Topshop.
17 Falsify Mascara £6.49, Boots. BOUGHT
Sully Fluropink Halterneck Dress £41, Reiss

If you follow me on Twitter (@raywhoisshe) you will have seen how narked off I am with trying to get one of these embellished All Saints skirts, I'm keep being outbid. However on my lunch on Monday I thought I would quickly check ebay and see if any skirts in my size had been listed. My size in the Aztec Skirt with a buy it now- seriously it was too good to be true. I've bought it and fingers crossed its in good nick. I ordered the Asos clutch for going out this weekend, however its not as nice as it looks on the website (gutted). I doubt the Reiss dress is going to be avaliable in my size as its in the Sale, however I'm off to Newcastle next Saturday with Holly so I'll be checking their store/John Lewis/Fenwicks to see if they have it in.

The animal wedges I think will have to wait until next payday.. you will see why later on. I need a new white vest for Holly's hen do in a smaller size as I'm sick of having to pull my current boutique vest up, as it has a habit of falling down all the blooming time. Managed to get my hands on the Falsify mascara last week- so far I'm quite happy with it- I'll be putting that to the test tomorrow night. I also want some hot rollers, I've got my eyes on the Babyliss 30 Ceramic Rollers, as thats what the hairdresser used on mine and Holly's hair for the trial, Sally's sell them for £55 however I've managed to see them somewhere for £29 with free p+p (I love a good bargain)

Anyway back onto why I won't be buying the Antelope wedges this month, Monday night I got a message on ebay saying that THE ALL SAINTS SHELL SKIRT IN MY SIZE WAS LISTED ON EBAY BRAND NEW WITH TAGS AS A BUY IT NOW (and breathe). I was in two minds as to buy it considering I just bought the Aztec skirt. However after a lot of thinking, I decided to buy it. It came yesterday in the post, and its in immaculate condition, and it fits perfect. Roll on Holly's hen do pt 2 and you'll see the pictures of it in action then. Debating whether to sell the Aztec skirt when it comes however I'm going to hold on to it for a bit while I make my mind up (yeah I'll end up keeping it).

So a massive thank you to Natalie for letting me know about the shell skirt!!!

Massive post for you there!! If you are interested in taking part in your face of the day on here, comment on the post below.

Have a fab weekend and don't do anything I wouldn't do!! xx

Who Loves Orange Soda

"Kel loves orange soda, I dooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

Who remembers Keenan and Kel from Nickelodeon?? Ahh memories.

With it supposedly being Summer and all that jazz (I'm currently typing this on my lunch while it chucks it down), I am trying to find the most summery nail polishes going. You know when you have that ideal shade of polish in your mind, yet you can never find what you are looking for. I've been doing that with orange nail polishes. The polish which I have been wearing for the last week, I've had for quite a few months when I picked it up on a 3 for 2 (JEM was still at work when I got it, so I'm thinking March time) and finally got around to wearing it last week.

Boots 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Orange Soda.

As you can see this is a bright (but not too bright) orange, which reminds me of orangeade. To get the consistency you can see in the picture above it took two coats. Depending on how you apply your nail polish one coat may be enough, however for me I needed two as it was a bit streaky.
The picture for this NOTD was taken two days after initally applying it and as you can see there is very little tip wear and no chips. I'm kinda missing my extensions as there was never no wear, however being able to wear bright colours overrides the extensions any day.

Considering I haven't used 17 nail polishes in years, I was very impressed with the quality of the polish. Also as you can buy smaller bottles of their nail polish for £2.99. So if you're not keen on a colour, you can easily get it used up in no time. I'm definately going to be betraying Models Own and Barry M in future to try more 17 polishes.. well after I've used some of my other polishes up first. It appears my collection is getting out of hand, and could potentially give JEMs a run for her money.

Have you seen 17's falsifeye mascara?? Really want to try this. I think a cheeky purchase may be in order soon.

March Favourites

So for the month of March- bar a night out at the start of the month, I haven't really been using many make up/products as I normally do. Therefore for this month I have decided to share my holiday must haves/favourites, some of which you have previously seen on here. Now I know I don't do FOTD posts, however when I share my OOTD posts, I will mention the products which I have used. Also I haven't had any make up on in over a week- what is happening to me??

I am also suffering from cottage cheese brain today- so I'm warning you in advance...

Benefit Coralista- now this didn't work on my cheeks for the first 3 days due to being burnt, however once my face settled down- this really complimented the tan. Think I may be reaching for this over my beloved Mac Melba blush for my upcoming nights out. I also had Mac Pinch o' Peach blush with me however with a tan/red cheeks you couldn't see it at all. Kinda wish I had brought Posey with me.
Mac Bronzer in Refined Golden- wore this every night, you know how much I love my bronzer- I think this needs to be relabled as a HG product for me.
2true liquid eyeliner- I really need to learn how to apply liquid eyeliner properly. After watching Julie's fab youtube tutorial on her college ball make up, I have been applying this with a Mac 219 (the really fine brush if that number is wrong) brush, and I think I may actually be getting the hint. Bought this on a whim in Superdrug and I am really impressed with the lasting power.
17 Wild Curls Mascara- now I initally loved this mascara the first few times I have used it, however since I've noticed its really clumpy on the brush. Bit of a pain to have to clean most of the product off the brush before putting it on, however I do like the effect it gives after about 5 coats. Just bought Maybelines the one mascara to try instead.

Mac Cut a Caper Lippy- I bought this off the lovely Ellie and this was the colour I'd been wearing most nights (when it wasn't living in the fridge as I was paranoid about it melting). However due to the hospital incident this was replaced from Thursday with the chapstick. Note- nude lippy (Gosh Darling) does not look good with a red face.
Dior Addict Ultragloss in 256- I've had this for ages and only really used it while I was away on the Monday night. Really like this lipgloss, and the colour is true to the bottle.

My Mac palette- my baby. I nearly kicked off in Newcastle Airport as when my bag was getting searched for the hidden explosives- the security guard swiped it and then threw it upside down on top of my bag. Oh the pain is coming back now- it was like someone had kicked me in the lady parts. Luckily nothing was damaged or there would have been hell to pay. I am going to do a post soon about my mac pallette and why it is arranged the way it is- in a nut shell (bar vanilla and arctic grey and soon to be all that glitters) if you look down each row it basically is a variation on a smokey eye. When I do my outfit posts I will mention what eyeshadows I have used (I have a weird memory for things like that).

Label M Sea Salt Spray- I hate using heat on my hair (bar a hairdryer) when I am away especially as my hair is coloured and I don't want to damamge it. So on a night after washing my hair, I would spray heat protector on, then some of this, tie it up in a top knot and either let it dry itself or blow dry it for curly hair. Also as I avoided the pool (mainly due to the typical british lads abroad idiots around it), my hair has come back in good condition for once.
Hawaiian Tropic Body Butter- you know the score with this, smells like holidays and it keeps your skin hydrated. Kept this in the fridge so it was uber cold.
Barry M Pink Flamingo- holiday notd to come on this. Moving on...
Kiehl's Face Cream- excellent to keep my face hydrated. Only used this Sunday-Wednesday night (all will be revelled later in the week), like the HT this was kept in the fridge. Came in handy for the holiday however I won't be repurchasing this.
Medicated Chapstick- one of my HG products, love love love. Shame it doesn't have spf in it though :(
Marc Jacobs Daisy- this is normally my "throw it in my work bag and forget about it" perfumes, however in a bid to start using my perfumes up, I took this away with me. Definately would recommend this as a holiday scent. This this bottle is never ending as it doesn't seem like it wants to go down.

So thats my March/Holiday favourites- don't forget to enter the mac giveaway (post below the one below).
