Chevrolet launched Beat diesel in 4 variants, Beat diesel PS – Rs 4.29 lakhs, Beat diesel LS – Rs 4.59 lakhs, Beat diesel LT - Rs 4.99 lakhs and top of the line Beat diesel LT (ABS & Alloys) – Rs 5.45 lakhs.

Features of the 2011 Beat diesel include, Pro-Vario Assist Featherlite EPS for effortless maneuvering and optimum vehicle control, intelligent launch support system, advanced insta-torque boost for better overtaking, smart engine, clutch protection mode, gas charged suspension for bumpy Indian roads.
There is hardly any difference between Beat diesel, Beat petrol or Beat LPG variants. The only difference is the engine. Beat’s new 936cc, 3 cylinder diesel engine delivers 58.5 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 150 Nm torque @ 1750 rpm.
Mr P Balendran, Senior VP, GM India, at the launch event stated, “Offering a diesel engine developed for Indian consumers in our most popular model is a momentous achievement for GM India.” In order to minimize maintenance cost, Beat Diesel engine needs change of oil every 15,000 kms or 1.5 years. 2011 Beat diesel engine comes with a manufacturer’s warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kms.
