Roger ebert born June 18, 1942) is an American film critic and screenwriter. He is the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. Ebert is known for his film review column (Appearing in the Chicago Sun-Times since 1967, and later online) and television programs for the Sneak Previews, At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, Siskel and Ebert and The Movies and, all of the which he co-hosted for a combined 23 years with Gene Siskel. After Siskel's death in 1999, Ebert teamed up with Richard Roeper for the Ebert & Roeper television series & the Movies, the which began airing in 2000.
the son of Walter H. Ebert. an electrician, and Annabel Ebert. His paternal grandparents were the resource persons Immigrants Germany and his maternal Ancestry is Dutch and Irish.
Ebert's interest in journalism began as a student at Urbana High School, where he was a sports writer for The News-Gazette in Champaign, Illinois; however, he began his writing career with letters of comment to the science fiction fanzines of the era. He Became INVOLVED in science fiction fandom, writing articles for fanzines, including Richard A. Lupoff's Xero. In his senior year he was co-editor of his high school newspaper, The Echo. In 1958, Ebert won the Illinois High School Association state speech championships in Radio Speaking, an event That simulates radio newscasts.

control and flew over a guardrail. His car reportedly slammed into a tree and caught fire. There was a passenger in the car who was also killed, although police have been unable to identify the body. According to the police report the car went through about 40 yards of trees before hitting the last one and bursting into flames.

This twitpic obviously led to speculation that the horrible crash was due to Dunn being drunk. TMZ reports that one person has said Dunn had three Miller lights and three “girly shots” in a 4 hour period. This is hardly enough to inebriate a grown man. But according to another person, Dunn was “wasted” after drinking heavily. Police have said that speed was most likely a factor in the crash, but there is naturally no way to tell if he was intoxicated yet.

So news of the drunk driving death of Dunn hit Twitter and he has stayed a trending topic all day. The most high profile person to tweet something controversial about the death was Roger Ebert. He tweeted this a little over an hour ago
