Murder is a 2004 Bollywood erotic thriller film directed by Anurag Basu and written by Mahesh Bhatt starring Mallika Sherawat, Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit Patel and is set in Bangkok, Thailand and the inspiration was drawn from the 2002 Hollywood film, Unfaithful starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. The main plot of the film was Simran [Mallika Sherawat] is married to Sudhir [Ashmit Patel] but due to her lonely married life she gets into an affair with her college time lover Sunny [Emraan Hashmi], whom she accidently meets after marriage, and when Sunny [Emraan Hashmi], is murdered, she is wrongfully accused, when it is actually her husband who has killed him. The movie was a big hit that’s why Mahesh Bhatt decided to make the sequel of this thriller movie titled as murder 2. But now in mureder 2 the sexy mallika sherawat is replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez while the male lead is still the serial kisser emran hashmi. Murder 2 is directed by Mohit Suri and is still under production and is scheduled to be release on july 29, 2011.
