A total of 28,076 candidates appeared for the entrance test for admission to the first year MBBS course for 2011-12 conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), which was held at 11 centres across the country, on Sunday, 5th June 2011.
As per JIPMER Website, the allotment of seats based on the merit list would be done on 13th July 2011. The candidates are required to be present in person for the provisional allotment counselling and for the biometric verifications. They are also required to submit all original certificates as listed in the prospectus.
The certificates of the candidates belonging to the ‘unreserved’ and ‘Puducherry unreserved’ categories would be verified between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on 13th July 2011, whereas the process would be taken up between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. for SC, Puducherry-SC, ST, OBC and Puducherry-OBC category candidates.
The classes will commence on 22nd July 2011.
